Best Abs Workout

The best abs workout doesn’t exist. Sorry guys the truth is there is no magic pill. They are wanted because they take work to obtain. If everyone had abdominals I’m sure that the area would not be as idolized. Each person’s body is different. We all react differently to certain situations and some may find themselves reaching those washboards much quicker than others.

There are however efficient workouts you can add to your routine that would save you a lot of time and effort wasted. The main focus of your workouts should not be focused on your abs. As ironic as it sounds, full body workouts not only works out your core, but other regions of the body.

Compound exercises are effective for burning body fat to obtain that flat tummy. They actually work out your core very well. There are more benefits to these such as stronger bone health and a boosted metabolism. When your body is sore and repairing your muscles, you burn fat even if your sleep. If many areas of your body is in repair, then your overall body is being burned much quicker. Nifty ain’t it?

Some great exercises include squats, bench presses, shoulder presses, and deadlifts. All of these exercises target multiple muscle groups that all work together such as arms, legs, core, and your back. These movements are very natural in the human body.

With these exercises, you will add a new definition to your abdominals. Each of these compound exercises target the core with either the upper body or the lower body. Alternating between these will be a sufficient workout in itself. This will burn massive amounts of overall body fat. Keep in mind that you won’t get bulky unless you eat a lot of food to gain weight and mass.

With these full body workouts, add the more concentrated exercises that focus on the abdominals. Crunches on an exercise mat or a medicine ball would work your upper region quite nicely. Reverse crunches and leg lifts will progress the lower region.

Use these tips in your workout and you will notice a significant progress and a massive difference in your results.

Do Crunches Work?

Do crunches work? A common misconception is that you can eat as much as you want and if you want a flat stomach just do a crap-load of them.  This is definitely the most well known exercise for your abdominals.  They are easy to do a million of them (not literally haha). I remember back in the days I would do sets of 150 to 200 or so. The pain would rise but I would never really hit the point of exhaustion, I would stop simple from running out of breath. I wondered to myself, is this exercise really doing much to myself?

Crunches aren’t really the end all means to obtain abdominals, but they are as useful as what pushups will do for your chest or squats will do to your legs. It just works mostly core strength and it slightly works a little bit of everything else ineffectively. It doesn’t really make you lose any fat in your tummy area, nor does the exercise burn a lot of calories.

Be a little careful, crunches are known to be quite damaging to your back if you do too many. The flexed movement of a crunch tends to put an unhealthy strain on your back at the area with the most nerves. Wearing this area out can lead to nerve damage. Your spine is composed of many spinal disks that are lubricated by a mucus-like substance. If you keep flexing your spine, the disks will shift out of place. Voila! Instant disk herniation. This can be prevented though with a cushioned exercise mat.

Instead of focusing for on one exercise, aim for an overall diet and exercise regime. A well planned out strategy increase the effectiveness of your end goal. This will make sure your time and efforts are well spent.

It’s thorough, cuts through the filler and silly advices. The book really goes straight for the prize and offers the most effective exercises, strategies, and plans while catering to your own personal body.

Welcome to get-abs.net! I created this blog to show you simply how to get abs (hence the site name). Would you like that six pack? How about an eight pack or  ten?
